Case Study - Fisker Automotive

The Client

Fisker Automotive is an American car company, founded in 2007, committed to producing electric vehicles with extended range (EVer) that deliver uncompromised responsible luxury™. The Fisker Karma sedan is the world's first premium electric plug-in hybrid that represents the company's firm belief that environmentally conscious cars need not sacrifice passion, style, or performance. Fisker Automotive is a global company that is redefining luxury for the modern sports car buyer.

The Challenge

Fisker Automotive needs an internal communication source to maintain all active events under one roof. Microsoft SharePoint was the desired application to fulfill this need. However, the current SharePoint was running on an older version and the look and feel didn't unite the company together. The intranet became just a source of hard drive that was hard to maintain and therefore lacked the interaction and communication to unite the company worldwide.

The Solution

FluidNRG met with Fisker a few times to capture the business brand and understanding the business scope. The FluidNRG team then took the requirements and began to creatively brainstorm the look and feel of the new rebranding layout using SharePoint 2010. We first composed 3 various layouts then through a process of elimination, we are able to capture the Fisker essence into one approved design. FluidNRG then copied this new layout and theme throughout the rest of the site inside the new development environment.

The Result

FluidNRG were able to deliver fine polished new look and feel skin for the basic SharePoint 2010 environment within a tight and aggressive deadline. Since then, we have been working with Fisker on other development in webparts and more!
